Within the last few days me and M.D. Lukasz Jackowiak have developed another helpful element for doctors, who lack the equipment.

It’s a connector for standard multi-use masks to a filter DAR, which is certified for preventing the virus.

The reason for producing it is that the certified and compatible filters to available masks are out of stock. Therefore, there was a need to create some quick solution to ensure the safety for paramedics, who work in the field and have direct contact with potentially infected people. They are currently the users of it.

As there are various masks on the market, we keep on developing new connectors (filter inlet is the same, though). Currently we have parts for the following masks:

    3M (all types) –

    SECURA –

    snorkeling Easybreath mask –

We keep working on the new ones, so I will post here the new parts for new masks. If you also do it, please publish it here, too.

    Hi Przemek,

Thank you for sharing and doing what you are doing to help! Are you saying that the DAR filters ARE much more available right now in your area alone, or can you confirm that that they are more readily available on a global scale?

That then would make sense to produce these adapters that allow DAR filters to be used on multi-use masks. Just trying to understand and clarify and confirm.

    Thanks again,

    Hey Sean,

I cannot speak for stocks in various parts of the world, but those filters are still widely available at least in Poland. They might finish soon due to high demand, but so far it’s going well.

In the meantime we started a campaign, in which we created an app, where available makers can provide their contact details and then medics contact them via this app to ask them to print an adapter. It’s a big success and the app turned out to be a great tool to connect those who need help with those who can offer it 🙂 Look here (in Polish, though)
